What the House Does

Trading and Consultancy, Practised as a Craft

Hei Faai Limited offers a focused set of services built around one idea: that goods move best across borders when someone patient handles the details. Six disciplines describe the work of the house, and each one is offered with the same care, the same paperwork and the same quiet persistence that our partners in To Kwa Wan have known for years.

Product Trading and Distribution

The house buys and sells across nine trade categories, from household goods and hardware to packaging, textiles and light industrial components. We hold the commercial relationship from first sample to final invoice, which means the client speaks to one counter rather than to a chain of strangers. Our coordinators know the realistic price bands of each category, the honest lead times and the factories whose standards we accept without hesitation.

Distribution follows the same discipline. Whether goods move to a single warehouse or to several regional buyers, the house prepares the documents, reconciles the quantities and confirms the arrivals. Clients receive clear reports at each step, because a trade that cannot be explained is a trade that cannot be trusted.

Supplier Coordination

Finding a supplier is easy; finding the right supplier for a specific order is the craft. The house maintains a working network of manufacturers across more than thirty partner markets and matches each assignment to partners whose scale, certification and season fit the job. We negotiate specifications in writing, agree inspection points before production begins and keep a record of every partner and every performance.

Coordination does not stop at the contract. We follow production with scheduled checks, chase the small questions early and escalate the serious ones immediately. Clients do not need to manage time zone differences or translation gaps alone, because the desk absorbs that work and returns a single, orderly answer.

Market Entry Advisory

A new market rewards preparation and punishes guesswork. Our advisory desk maps the route before the first shipment moves: the regulations that apply, the documents that customs will expect, the realistic landed cost, the competitive landscape and the honest price position a product can hold. We write this as a plain working brief, not as a decorative report.

Where the decision is taken to proceed, the house structures the entry step by step, from a trial consignment to a steady distribution rhythm. We advise against orders that our figures cannot support, because the reputation of the house depends on the outcomes of the trades we recommend as much as on the ones we execute.

Brand Representation

Manufacturers who wish to build a name abroad need a representative who treats the brand as more than a shipment schedule. The house represents selected brands in the markets we know, presenting them to buyers, attending fairs on their behalf and defending the positioning of the product in every negotiation. We accept representation mandates sparingly, because representation means advocacy, and advocacy requires belief.

Each mandate includes regular market feedback: what buyers asked, what competitors quoted and what the brand must adjust to grow. The brand owner stays in command of pricing and identity while the house supplies the presence, the introductions and the follow up that a distant market demands.

Logistics Coordination

Goods that cannot move are goods that cannot sell. The house arranges carton, pallet, container and consolidated movements through freight partners we have used for years, selecting the mode that fits the urgency and the budget rather than the one that pays the best commission. Bookings, shipping instructions, insurance and document sets are prepared and checked before the truck arrives at the gate.

During transit the desk tracks the consignment and reports the milestones without being asked. When congestion, weather or inspection slows a route, we explain the delay, quantify the impact and present alternatives. A shipment may be late for reasons beyond any control of ours, but a client should never be left to wonder.

Quality Assurance

Quality is agreed before it is inspected. The house sets the standard at the specification stage: an approved sample, a written tolerance and a checklist that both sides sign. Production is then watched at the agreed points, and a final pre-shipment inspection covers quantity, workmanship, packaging and markings against the approved standard.

Inspection findings are reported in plain language with photographs, so that a decision can be made quickly and fairly. Goods that fail are corrected before they sail, because it is cheaper to fix a fault at the factory than to argue about it in a warehouse overseas. This single habit explains most of the fulfilment record of the house.

How an Engagement Runs

Four Steady Stages from Enquiry to Renewal

Stage 01

Enquiry and Brief

You describe the product, the quantity, the market and the calendar. The desk asks the questions that a quotation must rest on and confirms what we understood, in writing.

Stage 02

Sourcing and Structuring

We compare offers, verify samples and present a quotation with a clear scope, honest lead time and stated assumptions. On acceptance, the confirmation fixes the terms.

Stage 03

Execution and Shipment

Production is followed, inspections are held, documents are prepared and the goods move. You receive milestone reports as a matter of course, not on request.

Stage 04

Review and Renewal

After arrival we review the file together: what went well, what to adjust and what the next order should learn from this one. Long partners are built in this stage.
